Welcome to the
City of Caldwell Online Services Portal

Below you will find all the applications necessary for your specific land use development entitlement needs.
You will also be able to submit for and track reviews for civil construction drawings; request roundtable (pre-app) meetings, submit for an advance review of your traffic impact studies, and apply for other miscellaneous types of land use approvals, such as temporary use permits, mobile food units, home occupations, and transient vendor permits.

ROUNDTABLE (PRE-APP) MEETING REQUESTS

A Round Table meeting provides information and guidance for property owners, developers, and project designers who are considering development within the City of Caldwell. The meeting also acts as an opportunity for the City to provide a general overview of the development process and provide “preliminary” feedback on development proposals. We recommend the applicant and their technical team attend the meeting. Prior to this meeting, representatives from various departments will evaluate the information provided on this request form, along with the project documents submitted, and then provide comments at the meeting. These departments can include Planning, Engineering, Fire, Building Safety, Economic Development, Public Works, and GIS.  Please note this meeting is a conceptual review and a formal review will not be done until the the development applications have been formally submitted.

TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY SUBMITTAL

If you will be submitting for approval of a project that requires a traffic impact study, we recommend submitting the traffic impact study as early as possible in advance of the development applications to allow for an initial review by the engineering department.  Land use development applications submitted that did not have an initial review of the traffic impact study will result in longer review times of your land use applications, and a delay in the scheduling of the 1st public hearing.

Submit for a TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY PRE-REVIEW

PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT LAND USE APPLICATIONS

All of the applications listed below shall be submitted through the Online Application System. Applicants can also pay fees, view their application status and hearing dates, and request planning and zoning inspections.  Please make sure that you have all needed documents for the application available in an electronic "high resolution" pdf format.  If you have questions about what documents are required for each application type, please refer to our Planning and Zoning website

Once your application and required documents have been submitted, all submittals will go through an initial pre-screening process PRIOR to being assigned to a staff planner and given a TENTATIVE hearing date.

PLEASE NOTE:

An application submission WILL NOT be considered complete until all completed and signed applications and checklists have been received, along with all required plans and documents, and all fees have been paid.  The date of acceptance of a complete submittal is the date used to meet hearing deadlines for scheduling the the initial public hearing; and

Hearing dates ARE NOT GUARANTEED AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE based on workload, plans having all the required contents, redlines/outstanding correction items, and the number of hearings already scheduled for that particular date (we only schedule 2-3 hearings per meeting maximum); and

A Hearing date that has bee scheduled MAY GET BUMPED by other land use applications that have had a public hearing continuance  by staff or the hearing body to a future hearing date, which in turn.
